PERHELATAN
akbar insan perfilman dunia, Academy Awards, baru saja usai. Bertempat
di Hollywood and Highland Center, California, gelaran ini menjadi ajang
pembuktian bagi para sineas yang sukses menggondol piala Oscar.
Dalam
ajang penghargaan yang berlangsung untuk yang ke-84 kalinya ini, ‘Hugo’
berhasil menang besar dengan menyabet lima penghargaan sekaligus.
Sayangnya,
film arahan sutradara Martin Scorsese itu urung memperoleh piala Best
Picture sebagai penghargaan tertinggi. Titel ini berhasil diraih film
bisu karya Michel Hazanivicus, ‘The Artist’. Hazanivicus berhasil
membuktikan, walau filmnya tanpa dialog, tanpa warna, serta hanya
mengandalkan bunyi-bunyian, ‘The Artist’ mampu menggaet hati para
pecinta film dunia.
